Coach Boyd enters his 1st Season as a Varsity Baseball Assistant ,coach Boyd Started his baseball journey in West Hills, CA, where he played at West Hills Pony Baseball. Coach Boyd attended El Camino Real High School in 2000 As a four-year varsity starter, in 2003 Coach Boyd was selected to play on the Area Codes team during his junior year, this success earned him a scholarship to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
In 2004 in his senior year, Coach Boyd was recognized as one of the top hitters coming out of High School in Southern CA and was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the 9th round as an outfielder. He went on to play 4 seasons within the Athletics' minor league system and being protected on the AAA Roster in 2007 at age 22 by the Rule 5 Draft.
Today, coach Boyd is passionate about working with young athletes, particularly focusing on offensive development. He specializes in overseeing hitters, helping them address and correct the bad habits and tendencies they may have developed early in their careers. His dedication to fostering talent and improving performance reflects his deep commitment to the sport and its future ECR players.
Coach Boyd resides in West Hills with his wife Kyra and their two children Hudson and Landon
