Junior Varsity & F/S Coaches
|
Head Coach: Josh Lienhard
This will
be Coach Lienhard’s second stint at El Camino Real HS, and 2nd year as Head Varsity Coach. Coach Lienhard guided
the 2009 team to the semi-final game for the first time since 2006 posting a 23-10 overall record. Coach Lienhard was
the Head Varsity Coach at Granada Hills Charter HS from 2006-2008, in which he led the Highlanders to Dodger Stadium three
consecutive years for the Invitational Title, winning in 2006 and 2008. Prior to coming to GHCHS, Lienhard coached
at El Camino Real HS as the Head junior varsity coach for three years. In those three years, the teams won two WVL titles
and compiled a 69-7-1 record. Coach Lienhard also coached at Westlake HS, Mt Eden HS and Tennyson HS. Personal Coach Lienhard prepped
at Kearny High School in San Diego, CA, graduating in 1993. Lienhard attended San Diego City College before transferring to
Cal State Hayward as a pitcher. Coach Lienhard received his Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology (physical
education emphasis) in 2000 from Cal State Hayward, and his Masters of Arts in Education from National University in 2006.

Head JV Coach: Jon Beckerman Coach Beckerman returns for his third
year as Head Junior Varsity Coach. Coach Beckerman attended University High School where he played baseball for Coach Frank
Cruz and graduated in 1986. Coach Beckerman graduated California State University Northridge in 1992 with both a bachelor’s
degree and teaching credential. In 2002, Beckerman also obtained his Master's Degree in Education Administration.
Coach Beckerman was Head Varsity Baseball Coach at University
High School from 1992 thru 2001. His teams won the Western League Championships in 1994, 1995 and 2000. His overall record
of 162-98 ranks among the highest winning percentage at the school. His teams made the playoffs every year except 1998 including
a semi final appearance in 2000, and quarterfinal appearance in 1997. Last
season Coach Beckerman guided the 2009 team to the championship game of the playoffs, and in his first year as Junior
Varsity Coach and a 21-7 won loss record, he helped the team capture the 2008 West Valley League Championship. He has been at ECR since 2003 as member of the faculty, teaching Life Skills, Health,
and A.V.I.D. He resides in Northridge, CA with his wife and daughter.

Asst. Coach: John Jackson
This
will be Coach Jackson’s second stint as well at El Camino Real HS. Jackson coached at Granada Hills Charter High School
assisting at the varsity level in 2006 & 2007. Coach Jackson helped guide the 2006 Highlanders to the Invitational crown,
and the 2007 team to the Invitational final. The previous two years Jackson helped guide the Junior varsity teams at El Camino
to two league titles in those two years. Prior to coming to El Camino, Coach Jackson was busy watching his son Connor Jackson
excel at the collegiate level and eventually getting drafted in the first round in the 2002 draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Asst. Junior Varsity Coach: Mike Callahan
This will be Coach Mike Callahan's inaugural year helping with the El Camino baseball
program. Coach Callahan is a 1975 alumni of El Camino, and competed in track and field during his ECR years. As
a single father he coached his 2 boys Michael Jr. and Tim for over 10 years, before they both went on to continue
playing baseball at El Camino. Michael Jr. and Tim both graduated ECR in 2007. Coach Callahan is a local
business owner, and resides in Woodland Hills. Time permitting, Coach Callahan continues to participate in
local adult league men's baseball.

Asst. Coach: Don Moriarity
Coach Moriarity returns for his fourth
season at El Camino assisting at the varsity level. Coach Moriarity helped to guide the 2009 team to an overall record
of 23-10 and a semi-final appearance in the playoffs. Coach Moriarity brings a lot of experience having coached at many different
levels including Calabasas High School and Montclair Prep. In 2008 Moriarity assisted the City All-Star team vs. CIF All-Star
and coached the St. Louis Cardinals Scout Team. Coach Moriarity is a graduate of Birmingham High School
where he lettered in football, baseball and track. He continued his baseball career at Pepperdine University where he also
earned his Bachelors and Masters degrees. Moriarity teaches in the Glendale Unified School system and resides with his family
in Hidden Hills.

Head FS Coach: Jason Sabolic This will be Coach
Sabolic's 7th year helping out the El Camino baseball program, and 11th overall. Coach Sabolic will be assisting at the
FS level, but helping out with the program as a whole. Coach Sabolic is an ECR alum, graduating in 1997 after participating
in both baseball and football for 4 years. Sabolic was a member of the 1997 CIF City - Section Champion team that beat Banning
HS. Sabolic went on to play baseball at Occidental College in Pasadena.
Coach Sabolic currently teaches science
at El Camino and is engaged to Terri and they live in Woodland Hills.
